Animation.

Animation commissions are pay per second ie;  you pay x amount per second of animation.

You can ask for any number of seconds you want and I will discuss with you (With the context of what will happen in the animation in mind) if and what is possible and give you an estimated price before taking the commission, so any contact before agreed upon is non-binding.

Standard.

My range for 2D frame-by-frame animation is $120-$800+.

 

Simple prompt-based animation:

The base price (120) is for the simple stuff ie; Flat colour, simple character and background and minor scene and shot changes.

I will take all the factors of the animation into consideration when coming up with the final price for the project after discussions with the commissioner.

Example; 

 

“ I want a 1 min animation of my character interacting with a big cat and being wholesome, I would like no/simple background and I have a reference of a simple character design for both.”

• In this case, it would be $120 per second which would be $720 in total. 

 

This example is very short and I would normally ask for a bit more information because I always appreciate having as much information about the scenarios and scene as possible written down so I know what is specifically wanted! However, I should say I’m also okay with doing ‘artist interpretation’ where you just give me a prompt and I do most of the shot composition if you are unsure of what exactly you want :)

When doing the storyboarding, I use you’re paragraph/description for a rough First interpretation and come back with it to determine if you want changes or anything the like.

I am also going to be providing w.i.p’s where changes can be made but please only minor changes at the first rough Storyboreads (or at the latest by animatic) like “I would want more x here” or “could this be an x shot instead” and not in the late stages when the lineart or colouring is done!  if you do there is a high likelihood I will refuse.

 

Of course, sometimes changes to the project are needed to fit the exact vision the commissioner wants. Still, I would always want the process to go as smoothly as possible and that is why I have to again emphasize the importance of having a good amount of descriptions or visual references from the start!! :,)

Loop:

My range for animation loops are $100-$700.

 

Loops work the same as frame by frame except they can not have multiple shots and scenes.

Long project  animation:  

​

for long-term project animations, where I would have to take on more roles in the animation development process, as in character development, design, directing etc. I ask that you send me a dm so we can talk it over and I will decide if it is something I am interested in, however, my base rate for any big project like this is a minimum of 150$ a day.
